Bull & Bear

Experience The Best In Porto At The Bull & Bear

There is no other establishment on the restaurant Porto scene with as big a reputation as the legend that follows the Bull & Bear Restaurant. Launched when it first opened under the helm of its original chef, Castro Silva, who now has his own place in Lisbon proper, it still has the same legendary dishes and the quality has not waned in the great one’s absence.

Tricked out with a very upscale and classy décor, reservations are always required. The dining area is always full, as is the bar, where more hungry patrons await their destination.

There are so many items to choose from at the Bull & Bear Restaurant that it may be quite difficult for a new visitor to decide. Popular selections from long-time patrons include sea bass marinated with fresh herbs, grilled scallops with Avruga caviar and cream of leek soup or cod with local vegetables and beans.

Filled to the brim with all kinds of traditional Portuguese cuisine interpretations, this classy restaurant in Porto has amassed a wine list featuring more than 150 different labels to complement every entrée they create.

Our favorite wine selection is the local favorite Tawny, a rich and vibrant port, from one of the largest vineyards in the region. With everything so delicious, and reasonable in cost, be sure to climax your visit with our favorite dessert, the Toucinho do Ceu, layered lusciousness with a raspberry sorbet.
