Quatro Aguas

Get The Best Seafood Under The Sun At Quatro Aguas Restaurant

A very upscale Tavira restaurant, the Quatro Aguas Restaurant is not exactly in the town center, but rather closer to the jetty that services the tourist boat traffic to Ilha de Tavira. Bigger than the average Algarve restaurant you will see in this region, it offers three definitive choices for seating: inside, under a stylish canopy, or at the mercy of the elements.

No matter which seating venue you choose, the service is good and the food even better. While it can be a bit on the pricey side, with a meal for two people averaging around 50 Euros, that has not diminished the popularity of this Tavira restaurant. On weekends, and holidays, you will be hard pressed to find a seat, inside or outside.

Sarters such as Migas de Lingueirão, which is made up of razor clams and fresh bread, molded into a sausage-like platter, will give you a clue as to just how tasty and unique the dishes created by the chefs here are, and well worth the price too.

Follow the migas up with the very popular Cataplana, with generous chunks of lobster, langoustines and prawns, with a deliciously rich tomato sauce, and you are on your way to a truly delightful meal in this Algarve restaurant. Be sure to cap off your meal at the Quatro Aguas Restaurant with one of the local vintages of wines available here, as well as one of their wonderful, homemade desserts.
