Located only steps away from the famous Bica do Sapato restaurant and the Santa Apolonia train station, the Casanova restaurant in Lisbon is a trendy, youth-oriented Italian restaurant that features some of the best pizza available in Lisbon today.

Owned by the same management team as the famous Cosa Nostra café, this Lisbon restaurant is a popular dining destination for a much younger crowd than you would normally see in this area.

First opened in 2000, Casanova restaurant features typical Italian Lisbon restaurant’s décor, wooden tables and chairs, checkered tablecloths and red lights on every table. The lights have an added function that most patrons do not immediately realize, however. In reality, turning on the red light will immediately summon a waiter to your table, a personal signal that you are ready to be served.

One of the few restaurants in Lisbon that uses authentic thin wood ovens to create their pizzas, their affordable menu has recently been expanded to offer other Italian cuisine delicacies to the public.

Pastas, antipasto, crostinis, bruschettas and calzones are now available as menu options, for a resonable cost, usually averaging between five and ten Euros.

They also offer authentic Italian desserts such as cremolatti, pannacota and tiramisu to round out your meal, as well as a delicious house brewed lemon iced tea.
